| Description: Objective of the job includes electrical/mechanical support of all production equipment.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
· Troubleshoot equipment problems
· Support the development and implementation of solutions to improve performance and reliability
· Safety/Housekeeping Activities
· Assist in collection and analysis of OEE data
· Perform regularly scheduled PM’s for equipment and clean rooms
Occasional duties:
· Management of change/corrective action resolution
· Lead continuous improvement teams as required
· Provide training to other operators and technicians as required
· Coordination of activities with other departments
· Activities as requested by Shift Supervisor and BU Manager
- Weekend and overtime work frequently required depending on project demands
- Support on off-shifts as required by project demands
- Must work near or around various chemicals
- May require infrequent travel (less than 10% to attend training, best practice sharing, etc.)
- Incumbent is expected to continuously upgrade their skills and knowledge through on-the-job training, project work and/or external training
Skills Needed: Skills:
· Minimum of 2 years manufacturing operations experience
· Requires intermediate electro/mechanical skills
· Requires intermediate computer skills
· Requires knowledge in the safe use of shop equipment
· Requires ability to interact with others in a professional manner
· Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing concepts and cycle time calculations preferred
· Desired statistical analysis tools (SPC)
· Desired basic OEE knowledge
Requires presence on production floor including frequent standing, walking, and reaching. Occasional climbing, bending, stooping and twisting. Must be able to lift 10 pounds occasionally throughout the day and up to 25 pounds infrequently. Use of hand tools and operation of mechanical equipment. Must have acceptable near vision, color vision and depth perception.
